A Charlotte Bicycling Mural
Dan... thought I'd come to this site to see if there might be some help that you or the members could lend to our latest Trips for Kids project. www.tripsforkidscharlotte.org About two months ago we applied and were awarded an Arts & Science grant to paint a 160' x 18' bicycling themed mural on the side of our re-cyclery that faces N. Davidson. I have sent out an e-mail blast into the cycling community seeking input for both images and people that have played a role in Charlotte Bicycling since the early 1900's. I have just received several photos from the Chipley family of their Dad's shop that was on Park Avenue in the early 1960's, but I certainly want to a deeper history than this... Any help or ideas that you could lend would be appreciated.
